I purchased this product as I am a retail manager and am on my feet all day going from one end of the building to the other to fulfill customer and associate needs. I needed a good pair of shoes to give support and comfort to my feet that are literally pounding hard tile or cement all day (10 to 12 hours per day). I also needed a shoe that was presentable in a very business customer oriented store.

I damaged my Posterior Tibia Tendon some years ago so I needed a comfortable and stable shoe. This New Balance 811BK shoe was recommended for those reasons. I wear orthotics in my shoes which this style accommodates perfectly. These are the only shoes I wear.


I have never worn out this shoe and it is comfortable, a great walking shoe and gives me the support I need. I cannot wear boots so wear this shoe through everything and it never looks tired. It you want to spruce up a little, I use one of those sponge applications and they look great.



No break-in necessary - comfortable from the first time you wear them.
