The Pegasus+ 26 were the next ones I tried, and by the end of my first run my Achilles tendon was on fire along with my ankles. I really can't fault the shoe or the description. It was my lack of understanding about the science of running and exactly what I was buying. Zappos gave me all the information I needed to make a good buying decision. "They're perfect for this beginning runner! These are the first running shoes I have ever bought, and so far I've run about 40 miles in them. They are extremely comfortable, with excellent cushioning and arch support. They breathe very well, and grip perfectly on road/sidewalk surfaces of all types. They are a fairly bulky looking shoe, but running isn't about fashion! I recommend the gray color: I've run around a wet park and a dusty trail, and they still look perfectly clean. Running is not always comfortable for beginners, but at least you won't have to worry about your feet!"

"At first I wanted to send these shoes back. They slipped on my heal and there is nothing worse for me than a shoe that slips off my foot. But, after lacing the shoe up to the top hole the slipping stopped and it is wonderful. I do wish the lacing were longer but nothing a new pair of those won't fix. Another perk was getting the shoes not even 24 hours after placing the order. Having a larger foot (11.5), it is hard for me to find shoes that fit well, with Zappos reviews and wonderful service I don't have to worry about the hassles of searching every store in the area for a shoe that might fit.
