The purpose of these rands is to provides some sort of structural support to the uppers. The outsole of the shoe features a modified herringbone pattern, which provides great traction and grip. They also feature Nike's patented Zoom Air technology, providing added cushioning, and were the first Air Jordans to do so.

I love Saucony because I have a small but wide feet. I take a 7 1/2 shoe and find it hard to find the right size as most shoes are narrow. Saucony is the only Sneaker that is comfortable and I buy them all the time. I love this product.

"I looked for these boots after reading the reviews here and on some other sites and I have to say, I loved the way they felt the moment I laced them up. They are very comfy, with excellent support through the arches. I normally use superfeet in all my hiking and backpacking boots but I haven't had to use them with these boots. They are warm, without being sweaty. They have great traction, even on wet terrain. From Denali Park AK to Yosemite CA, hiking in the mountains or walking along a park trail, these are fantastic. The only caution I would give those in search of a good pair of mid-weight boots, is that these run really small. I usually wear a 7 to a 7 1/2 and I had to buy an 8 1/2 in these. All Keen's seem to be the same though, my Keen sandals are also a full size larger than other brands."

"I ran in two different LS shoes during the Appalachian Trail Assault (2176 miles of rugged terrain). The Lynx provided great support once broken in. It took a few miles to break them in because of the stiff rock protector underneath the forefoot, but once broken in they performed perfectly. The flexibility came around, and with a slightly lower profile I did not once roll and ankle. Something Im prone to with stiff shoes. When the mud, wet rocks, and roots were slick, the shoe gripped like a vice. From sideways to forward, slipping was a rare option. When winter comes, and running on snow is an option, these will work great!"

Anyway, desperate to find something supportive with exquisite cushioning (before a trip), these babies even beat my recent favs, Brooks. I wear a 12 but can't stand my big toe touching when I run, so I usually get a 13, which is usually too big every place else (toe box, too high at ankle, etc.). But since Nikes don't come in 13, I ordered a 12, which fit PERFECTLY! The entire shoe envelopes my foot with luxury, while it still feels very supportive--both with arch and outer edge. "I haven't worn a shoe this comfortable since the Vomero 2. I supinate slightly and have very high arches and narrow heels (but normal forefoot width). I have a terrible time finding shoes that do not aggravate my plantar faciitis or my knees and these do neither. They fit nice and snug through the arch and they are freakishly lightweight. I just hope Nike doesn't go and change them next year!"

"I needed a good walking shoe due to a sprain on the top of my foot. I love the way these look, but the arch support is mediocre at best and the shoes feel heavy if I wear them all day. Absent an injury, I might not have noticed the arch issue but the shoes are definitely heavier than I prefer."
