The shoe's stitching is reminiscent of sun rays, as the shoe is modeled after? the ?Nisshoki?, which is the Japanese rising sun flag, as well as a 19th century women?s dress boot. The red portion features a lizard print design, reminiscent of the Air Jordan 2 (II). Besides that, the shoe features specs such as leather uppers, carbon fiber sheath and Air sole, as well as a quick lacing system.

"I got a pair of these shoes in August 2009! All I can say is wow, what a shoe. I bought it to help me lose some weight, but I don't get a lot of exercise because I work at home behind a computer all day, so I wear them mostly for shopping, outings, etc. or any other time I will be doing a lot of walking. I have begun to see the toning benefits in the sides of my thighs and my buttocks feels like it is getting firmer. As far as weight loss, not so much, but I don't get a lot of regular exercise, anyway. Problem with these shoes: everyone wants them, so you'll have to buy them for all of your friends and family! Four people in my family have them now because I broke them into these shoes! Two sisters have herniated disks, one has an ankle injury from a car accident, and all 3 love them for the benefits related to pain relief and off-loading their spines/heels. "Ordered these shoes for my step-son. Bought them in a size 5 1/2, one-half size bigger so he would have room to grow into them. They were way too big. Ended up ordering a size 4 1/2 and he still had room. Spoke with a sales person at the store i returned them to and he said Air Force Ones do run big due to the larger area in the toe area. Other than that, the shoe is well made and looks great."

"These are good looking shoes, since they have very good traction for a running shoe and my foot feels very well supported in them. I especially like the colors (grey and pink). I only wish they had wide sizes to accommodate a prominent bunion. I bought a slightly larger size 10, so they're still comfortable. I also got a second pair of Nike Air Pegasus Trail runners in 10W, for days when the bunion hurts. Both pairs look very similar to me,however the wide shoes have a slightly different sole and design) Unfortunately, the wide shoes come only in white, so they're not as good looking as grey. But they are very comfortable. Finally I have to say that I'm really happy I got them through Zappos. They upgraded my shipping to express free of charge even though I didn't even request it, and they were hassle-free."
