They feature a leather construction with noticeable perforations that run along the sleek lines on the upper, providing a way of ventilation for the bearer's foot. They feature a white color scheme along with red accents, which is most noticeable on the support wraps located at the midsole area. The sleek design was not by accident, and instead is modeled after one of Michael Jordan's cars, his Ferrari F355F1, which was the first production Ferrari to be fitted with an F1 paddle shift semi automatic transmission. The back of the heel features both a stitched Jumpman logo as well as a "23¡å stitched into the back. The Air Jordan 14 (XIV) is a very comfortable shoe, and a great basketball shoe, as the herringbone pattern on the outsole provides great traction. The only knock on these is that the support wraps tend to detach after a while, due to wear and tear.

"First let me say that I DO like this shoe, however the price tag is a bit steep for the what you get. For an Air Max product that are a bit heavy and unlike most other Nike shoes I buy, the size appears to run smaller than usual (i usually buy an 8 with Nike for best fit, an 8 with these shoes is a bit tight). They are quite comfortable though and I feel like I have great ankle support while maintaining some flexibilty as well."

"Love love LOVE this shoe! I was always told that to go running, any shoe will do. As someone that has always used cheap running shoes, I can honestly say that old adage is not true. I knew I would be running my first 5K soon so I thought I would purchase my first pair of "real" running shoes. The best thing about these shoes is the shock absorption. I used to always have pain in my knees after running and I had just assumed that I would always have that problem. Now I don't have ANY knee pain after running! They're also extremely lightweight and I feel that my arches are wonderfully supported as well. It doesn't hurt that the shoes are super cute unlike a lot of the other running shoes out there. "I really like this shoe. I run in a hot, humid climate, and this shoe really breathes. It doesn't feel too heavy, but the sole has excellent traction. The shoe fits my foot snugly, but not too tightly. I am also excited about using the Nike and iPod insert that syncs with my Nano. "I crosstrain. much of my workout involves powerlifting. I also run short distances up to 1 mile for speed. these are everything i wanted with the wide base, flexibility, and lightness. so happy! only problem- not for long running for me bc i have overuse fracture in my foot and i can not long distance run on the street in these shoes. i keep my assics for that. alot of nikes run small and narrow at the toe. these shoes do not. very true to size."
