They were the original colorway of the Air Jordan 16 (XVI), and are set to be retroed in 2008 as part of the Air Jordan 7 (VII) / Air Jordan 16 (XVI) Countdown Package. They feature an all black leather upper with a patent leather toe, as well as red accents, and a clear outsole. The only thing wrong with the Air Jordan 16 (XVI) is that they do not have great traction, as there is not enough rubber on the bottom. This specific colorway features a black leather shroud which hides the lacing system, and gives the shoe a more casual look, which is an added bonus. Features of the shoe include a hidden quick lace system, carbon fibre sheath, patent leather, Zoom Air insoles, and a Jordan shroud, which is a covering for the laces, made from full grain leather.

"Ive run in the La Sportiva Fireblades for some time now and didnt think I would find anything better until I tried the La Sportiva Crosslites. They are very comfortable and have much better grip on rocky trails than the Fireblades. I agree with the other reviewers - this shoe works best for narrow to normal width feet. The Crosslites are fantastic trail shoes however if you have to combine trails with road running, I think the Fireblade is more suitable."

"This has wonderful arch support, is lightweight, and has great heel support. In the first week I had them, I wore them as I did door to door work in a community and my feet never once hurt and even after I got home. I left them on because you barely tell you have shoes on with these. The only thing I wish I would have done is ordered a 1/2 size bigger because when they say 7, they mean a 7 - my toes are almost to the end. They are still comfy, but a little more room wouldn't hurt. I love the shoe though! I wish I could figure out how to make them dressy! Wears this shoe: Whever I can!"

I purchased this shoe at the recommendation of a friend. The were comfy from day one. I used them to hike all around the Volcanoes National Park, even across a crater. They were great. I plan to wear them to train for the Breast Cancer 3-Day, which is a 60 mile walk for Breast Cancer in Washington DC in October.

I FOUND MERRELL SHOES 2 1/2 YRS AGO AT A FANCY STORE IN THE MALL. I HAD UP TO THEN-WORE ONLY NEW BLANCE WALKERS OR JOGGERS W/ ORTHODICS. I HATED NOT EVER LOOKING DRESSED UP OR NOT LOOKING PUT TOGETHER W/THE NEW BALANCE ON- THANKS TO MERRELLS AND [...] I HAVE BOUGHT I THINK 5 PRS OF THESE DIF SHOES FORM MERRELL. I DO NOT HAVE TO WEAR ORTHODICS AT ALL W/ THESE SHOES-AND YOU CAN GET DRESSY ONES ALSO.
