Love these shoes!, November 18, 2010
Grant"I'm a grandma and have had four back surgeries. I can wear these shoes out shopping for hours. They are very comfortable and my back doesn't hurt after standing and walking for a few hours."
Finally - The Eternal , November 20, 2010
Arne"Finally - The Eternal Quest: looking for a shoe that doesn't kill my feet. God bless Zappos for their return policy! Wide feet, high instep, fallen arch, spurs everywhere, ligaments cut in 4 toes makes it really hard to find even slippers that don't hurt. This Brooks Addiction Walker is the best shoe I've found in a long time, the D width is perfect, it's supportive and cushy. I could use a little more arch support but then 'normal' feet wouldn't like it; going to try a small metatarsal cushion, as there isn't enough room in the toe box for full liner. (I don't think the toe box is small, I just need extra room there.) No break-in needed comfortable right out of the box. I don't think it's ugly at all, but I'm a little older and don't like a lot of colors/stripes/etc. on my athletic shoes, just plain white. I ordered a second pair, too. As usual, if you just keep looking Zappos will have what you need, and the service is outstanding."
Just what I expected from this boot, November 25, 2010
Foster"I own a pair of Keen sandals and am equally satisfied with them as I am with the hiking boot. I even wear my Keen hiking boot on my daily neighborhood walks."
LOVE these Nike\'s!, December 4, 2010
Millie"LOVE these Nike\'s! They look great, fit great, have some support and are lightweight and airy. I have received a number of compliments on them. Zappos, as always, is awesome with their customer service - hugs and kisses to you Zappos!"
Great shoe for sensitive feet!, December 6, 2010
Byron"Having spent the last year recovering from Achilles Tendonitis in both feet, I know the importance of good, stable workout shoes with features that correct over-pronation. These shoes fit the bill. Not only do they have the features I look for to enable me to work out without re-injuring myself, but they are comfortable and look good, too. And since I have narrow feet, I am glad that New Balance makes shoes that actually fit me--something the other manufacturers seem to overlook. I use my treadmill almost every day and do a lot of walking on pavement and they haven't let me down yet!"
The most comfortable lightweight shoe, December 24, 2010
Judith"I've worn Merrell boots for years and been very happy with them, but not so happy with the sneaker types offered. I decided to try again with the Siren Ventilator for a recent trip to Ecuador. They needed to do everything for me, including walking on rough lava rock, beach sand, and wet jungle paths, jumping on and off boats, and traipsing for miles through airports and city streets. They performed perfectly wherever I wore them and my usually troublesome, bone-spurred feet were content with or without my custom orthotics. That's close to a miracle!"
Received complementary, December 25, 2010
Harriett"Received complementary shipping upgrade and received the next day. Thanks Zappos! However, the shoe fit was a half size small compared to other brands and had to return. I wear a size 10 Asics 2000 series shoe with plenty of room in the toe box. The size 10 Nike my toes were at the end of the shoe. Recommend ordering a half-size larger."
Great traction, even with Crocs, December 28, 2010
Garrett"Like everyone else, I found these have tremendous traction, especially on hard pack snow and glare ice.
On a recent spring trip into Baxter State Park (Maine) for spring skiing, the snow was packed as hard as ice. My camp shoes were a pair of winter Crocs, and surprisingly, the Microspikes + Crocs combination worked great. In fact, I lent them to one of my teammates who had blistered heels, and he wore them about 2 miles on a hard packed section of the Appalachian Trail.
Highly recommended."
Tried these on a whim ..., January 24, 2011
Teddy"Tried these on a whim because Zappos touts them as being "perfect for the serious fitness walker". They offer little arch & overall foot support. Kind of cool looking, but I need a sturdy, supportive athletic shoe, not a fashion statement. Overall however, Nike makes an exceptional athletic shoe & it has been my brand of choice for many years. These are going back."
This shoe is very light ..., May 14, 2011
Desmond"This shoe is very light especially for an athletic looking shoe. The toe box is roomy and the heel fits well. It fit me true to size and I can wear black tights or socks with it. Fantastic Zappos got them to me overnight although I did not pay anything for shipping. The brands below which I recommend all have shoes with moderate arch support with at least a few styles that don't scream old lady shoes."
Fantastic shoe!, June 13, 2011
Emmett"I have been looking for new running shoes for quite some time. I was leaning towards saucony when I discovered this shoe. I love it! The cushioning exceeds that of saucony, it's comfortable, lightweight, and just all-around great. It feels so light and cozy that you forget your even wearing shoes. Before, I had a clunky pair of pumas; these deffinitely exceed puma in terms of long-distance running. And it doesn't hurt that they are pretty cute too. Much better looking than most of what I found that were still good running shoes. As for durability, I will have to see. But, if you're looking for a feel-good running shoe, this is it."
