"I love these boots! I needed a lightweight and waterproof boot that would work for dayhiking and backpacking. I had tried on every boot in that category at the REI store over the course of almost 2 years and could not find a pair that fit well. When I tried on these boots, I could immediately tell a difference. They were comfortable (as comfortable as my Keen Newport sandals, which I adore!) and my feet didn't feel like they were suffocating. I wore them dayhiking once and then took them 2.5 miles up Standing Indian Mountain (in NC) with a 30 pound pack, and they felt great. They needed no break-in and they are significantly lighter (and therefore more pleasant to wear) than my previous pair of backpacking boots. I highly recommend giving these a try."
