In stead, those portions feature a white color scheme, while the beige elephant print covers most of the shoe's upper. I heard about these and ordered them immediately last spring (REI didn't carry them). These will handle any icy trail conditions I have ever run across. They work flawlessly at least on hiking trail grades even if the ice is as slick as a hockey rink.

"I really like this shoe. I run in a hot, humid climate, and this shoe really breathes. It doesn't feel too heavy, but the sole has excellent traction. The shoe fits my foot snugly, but not too tightly. I am also excited about using the Nike and iPod insert that syncs with my Nano. There is a spot in one of the shoes under the insert to put the sensor in. I think that using this technology will be a real asset in my training."
