Waited for the EW and glad I did. The fit is excellent as I usually wear a 3E. Notice more burn in the hip, thigh, and calf area when wearing. Needs some time to get used to walking motion, but OK. Cushion on shoe is great and works well with gym equipment as well as walking. Have not used in malls, etc., yet because of heavy snow here. Also, too early to tell about how they will wear long-term. I plan to take them overseas and hit the not-too-even pavement on the sidewalks in many SE Asian cities--we'll see how they fare there, but I am sold on there usefullness in a gym environment. Ask me about the Asian experience in about 3 months."

"I'm on my 3rd pair and about to go out an buy 2 more pairs at REI. I just don't want to deal with choosing another shoe if they get discontinued because they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The one CAVEAT - WATERPROOF these as soon as you get them home if you don't want indelible stains. The suede like uppers will stain easily if you don't waterproof them. I dropped some soft-serve on mine by accident in a casino buffet line and they are now permanently stained - nothing can get the stain out so I'm buying the two new pairs. Also, I wear mine with a set of Dr Scholls pads."

I have a relatively narrow heel and have never had trouble with slipage and still have plenty of space in the toe box. Good cushion and fit.
