"This is a very light shoe, somewhat narrow, but because it is light and flexible it is fine for my fairly wide foot. Very comfortable, but definitely not enough support for running (for me at least) or any other heavy walking."

"Thanks Merrell! for bringing back this great hiking shoe. The cleverly designed uppers are made from top quality materials and very durable. As I was amazed to find out, the vibram soles will give you octopus like traction going up steep dirt trails. Comfortable right out of the box. Once you adjust the cinch lacing to fit your foot, you can just slip them on and off without ever touching the setting again. The snug stretch ankle collar does well at keeping debris from getting inside. Only drawback are the soles, which tend to wear quickly at the heel on hard pavement, but if you keep them mainly for trail hiking, they will last many years. Bought several pairs from Onlineshoes a couple years back and glad to see they are available again for those who have never had the pleasure of owning a pair of these unique hikers."

"I've only gotten to wear these a few times so far, and not on trails yet, but I really like them. They feel comfortable and have a nice wide toe box. I usually wear Asics running shoes, so I bought the same size that I typically wear for Asics. I wear about a 6.5 or 7 street shoe and a 7.5 for all Asics shoes. I'm looking forward to stomping in some puddles and seeing if my feet stay dry!"

"Good looking shoes. Really like these shoes a lot. The sole is super thick which took a little getting used to, but they are comfortable. I wouldn't use them for actual athletics, but for casual use they are great. The only problem I have is that the laces are a little shorter then I prefer, but not a deal breaker."
